Opel will show in Germany the most economic Astra

On coming nearer international automobile show in Frankfurt German company Opel will present new Astra, equipped with a ruler of economic engines.

Opel Astra became the tenth generation of cars of a compact class and the Car slightly will be offered with wide scale of engines in a range from 95 to 180HP has grown up, thanks to what has received more capacious salon.

Average consumption of fuel of a lineup of petrol engines makes 6,1 l/100 of km. The new petrol engine in volume of 1,4 l and power of 140HP replaces the current motor in volume of 1,8 l, allowing to improve efficiency of consumption of fuel almost with 18%.

Mercedes-Benz prepares the most economic S-Class

Concern Daimler AG plans to present the most economic and ecologically friendly version Mercedes-Benz S-Class in Frankfurt.

Updating under name Mercedes-Benz S250 CDI BlueEfficiency will receive a 2,1-litre diesel engine which is put now on C-Class and E-Class. The first four-cylinder motor for S-Class throws out only 155 grammes СО2 on kilometre of a way and spends 5,9 l of diesel fuel for 100 km.

The company yet does not disclose dynamic characteristics S250 CDI BlueEfficiency, but it is necessary to notice, that the harmless diesel engine has power of 224HP — all on 11HP less, than V6 with which it is completed S350. More detailed information on an economic novelty will appear more close to a premiere.

Citroen has declassified the first serial premium-model

On Monday the British magazine Autocar has published the detailed information on first serial car Citroen from the future ruler of "bonus" models which will receive index DS in the name. The first car from this series — hatchback DS3 — will be presented general public on September autoshow in Frankfurt.

Outwardly serial hatchback practically does not differ from the conceptual working out DS Inside, for the first time shown on automobile show in Geneva in March of this year. The most appreciable difference between two cars are branch pipes of final system which at the serial car are located on the right side of a bumper, and at a prototype (one big branch pipe) — in the middle.

The length of hatchback Citroen DS3 constructed on the modernised platform of model С3, makes 3,95 metres, width — 1,71 metres, and the luggage carrier volume is equal to 285 litres. In scale of engines of a novelty will appear two 1,6-litre turbodiesels power of 90 and 110 horsepowers, and also 95 120 and 150-strong petrol "four". Depending on updating motors begin to be aggregated from five-or a six-step mechanical transmission.

In Europe Citroen DS3 will appear in March, 2010 and will make a competition to cars MINI and Alfa Romeo Mi. To. Other premium-models of series DS — DS4 and DS5 — will be constructed with use of units of cars Citroen C4 and C5 and will appear in the market after 2011.

Serial off-road car Spyker will present in Frankfurt

The Holland company Spyker which is engaged in release of exclusive sports cars, plans in September on automobile show in Frankfurt to present the first serial off-road car.

Judging by the first espionage pictures which have been made at factory of firm and are published by site Autogespot, the novelty will receive the name not D12 Peking-to-Paris as it was supposed earlier, and D8 Peking-to-Paris.

Index change is connected by that instead of six-litre motor W12 power of 500HP on an off-road car will use the eight-cylinder engine of concern General Motors. Under the preliminary information, under a cowl of the serial car there will be a 556-strong 6,2-litre unit with mechanical supercharger Eaton from sedan Cadillac CTS-V. Earlier the manufacturer declared, that with 0 to 100 km/h D12 Peking-to-Paris is dispersed for 5 seconds, and the maximum speed will make 300 km/h. As dynamic characteristics in connection with a new power-plant will change — it is not known.

Off-road Spyker is constructed on motives of the conceptual working out D12 Peking-to-Paris for the first time presented in 2006.

It is expected, that the novelty will receive an adjustable suspension bracket and six-piston brake mechanisms AP Racing with 400mm carbon-ceramic disks.

As it was informed earlier, company Spyker is full determination to concentrate on sales of the off-road car basically in the markets of the Eastern Europe, the Near East and China. It is supposed, that the prices for the car will begin from 235 thousand euro.

Skoda has shown the first photos universal Superb

On Tuesday company Skoda has extended the first official photo of the version of model Superb with a body "universal".

The novelty will receive traditional prefix Combi in the name and will be presented general public on automobile show in Frankfurt which will take place on September, 15th this year. About it it is spoken in the press release "Skoda".

At present company Skoda has not extended the detailed information on scale of engines or the size and luggage space volume. It is supposed, that in the European market universal Superb will receive the same scale of motors, as a flagman sedan: three petrol units in volume 1,4, 1,8 and 3,6 litres developing 122, 160 and 260HP, and also three diesel engines power from 105 to 170HP Also it is expected, that the system of a full drive will be accessible to a novelty also.

As it was informed earlier, in sale universal Skoda Superb will arrive in the end of current year.

Company Volkswagen of the beginning of sale of the updated version of the compact pickup Saveiro intended for the markets of the South America.

This small working car collected on platform Gol, is designed by Brazilian division Volkswagen and made in the same country. German tuning studio Hofele has improved cabriolet Audi A3.

Audi A3, in version Hofele, has received new forward bumper GTS with the expanded air inlets. It is separately possible to order, informs release Hofele, a GT-bumper with antifog headlights. The radiator lattice can be painted in black or silvery colour.

Behind new "apron" is evident. The back bumper is executed from a special material and it is offered both under dual pipes, and under a standard branch pipe of an exhaust system.

Of that given cabriolet Audi A3 is the special version — remind emblems "Hofele" on a lattice of a radiator and a luggage carrier.
