New Kia Cadenza Sedan in California

An undisguised example of the new Kia Cadenza sedan has been spotted by a carsandtec reader rolling around in California for the second time since the beginning of the year. This one was caught by Sanjay Patel. "Saw this Kia Cadenza with Michigan plates going 55 North in Orange County, California," 

The sleek looking sedan which is already on sale in South Korea as the K-7, is longer and wider than the Amanti it will replace. It is expected to be revealed this year in U.S.-spec with sales to follow before the end of 2011. In its home market, the K7/Cadenza is offered with three gasoline engines ranging in output from 165HP for the four-cylinder unit to 295HP for the 3.5 liter V6.

Kia Rio 2012

Kia's product assault continues with the presentation of the all-new Rio subcompact, which will receive its world premiere together with the new Picanto at the forthcoming Geneva Motor Show in the beginning of March.  

The latest car to be revealed by Kia boasts a far slicker exterior design than the current Rio bringing it in line with the rest of South Korean company's passenger model range. There are no photos of the interior, but Kia says its newcomer "will deliver a high level of quality previously associated with larger models" along with a wider selection of trim options.
The Korean firm's Ford Fiesta-sized vehicle features a wheelbase extended by 70 mm (to 2,570 mm) compared to the outgoing Rio thus promising to offer improved passenger space together with an increased cargo capacity to 292 liters for the hatchback body style. Exterior dimensions changes include: +55 mm (overall length), -15 mm (height) and +25 mm (overall width). 

In Europe, the firm's B-Segment contender will be offered with a comprehensive range of petrol and diesel engines including a 1.1-liter diesel unit delivering 70-horsepower and CO2 emissions from as low as 85 g/km. 

But the big surprise is the announcement of an all-new 1.2-liter Turbo Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) that will be available from 2012, and which will offer the Koreans a significant advantage over its Japanese rivals.
Soon-Nam Lee, Director of Overseas Marketing for Kia, commented: “This new model is a big step forward. The Rio has always been successful, and with this new incarnation we have a car that people will want to buy for its looks.”
The new Rio will go on sale in Europe as a 5-door model this fall, with a 3-door to be introduced into the range in early 2012. Pricing and full range details will be announced nearer the on-sale date.

2012 kia picanto

Kia has released images of the domestic market version of its Picanto city car, which will be sold as the Morning in South Korea. From the looks of it, there won't be any notable differences between the local and European market specification Picanto, which will receive its world premiere at the Geneva Salon in the beginning of March. The South Korean motor-car manufacturer has charged hatchback completion to tuning studio Irmscher.

After the recent world premiere on a motor show in Chicago, concept car KIA Ray debuts in Europe.

It is a compact sedan in length of 4,4 m, created on a platform of model Forte it urged to show prospects of the hybrid car with possibility of additional charge from the electric socket.

LiPoly for KIA Ray

Thanks to modern li-ionic accumulators created with use of technology LiPoly, KIA Ray is capable to overcome on electrodraught more than 80 km without additional charge. On assurance of a motor-car manufacturer, at use of a hybrid power-plant, the car consumes only 1,398 l of fuel on 100 km, and the maximum run without refuelling and additional charge makes record 1200 km.

The concept car body is covered by sun-protection materials and the special paint limiting penetration of solar heat inside. This technology allows to lower essentially loading on a central air and, as consequence, to reduce energy consumption.

The Concept car is equipped by the 1,4-l petrol engine power of 115HP with system of direct injection of fuel (GDI). Besides, the hybrid power-plant includes the electric motor power of 106HP, located between the engine and transmission.

The maximum power of hybrid installation makes 153HP that allows the car to reach the maximum speed equal 175 km/h. Depending on a movement mode, KIA Ray it is set in motion petrol or an electric motor, and at loading increase both unit work simultaneously. In a car luggage carrier there is an accumulator and cooling system.

Concept car KIA Venga EV

Concept car KIA Venga EV — the car with completely electric drive became one more novelty at stand KIA in Geneva. The sizes of the concept car, presented under brand EcoDynamic, are identical to the sizes usual KIA Venga — a class minivan «B» which already is on sale in Europe.

The car is equipped by the electromotor power of 109HP c the maximum twisting moment equal 280Nm. A motor food is carried out from a dual accumulator room of the battery. In a mode of fast gymnastics for 20 minutes the accumulator is charged on 80%.

Venga EV has a forward drive. The car electromotor is located in a forward part, there, where the internal combustion engine usually settles down, and storage batteries are placed under a trunk floor. To 100 km/h the car is dispersed for 10.8 sec, and the maximum speed makes 140 km/h.

In Chicago will show prototype Kia Ray

On a motor show in Chicago (since February, 10th) company Kia Motors will present concept car Kia Ray.

Kia Ray by Hyundai Genesis

No other details about this car while are present. Earlier, the truth, it was informed, that in Kia Motors do not exclude possibility of a conclusion to the market compact rear-wheel sport coupe, constructed on the modernised platform of model Hyundai Genesis.

However, as in interview to magazine Autocar main designer Kia Peter Shrejer has declared, sport coupe Kia will appear in the market not earlier than in some years, and only when buyers will be ready to the similar car made in South Korea.

KIA begins sales of coupe Forte Koup

South Korean KIA Motors has officially confirmed, that in the end of summer will begin sales of absolutely new model Forte Koup in the market of the USA. As it's informed in the company press release, the double coupe first in modelling number KIA is collected on the same platform, as sedan Forte thanks to what in salon with comfort five persons will take places.

Appearance Koup is inherited from the conceptual car with the same name debuting in April 2008 in New York.

The American version of a coupe will receive the 2,0-litre four-cylinder engine power of 156HP as base and 2,4-litre power of 173HP — in sports complete set SX. The Transmission can be chosen from four variants including to "mechanics" and "automatic machine" with different number of steps.

In USA KIA Forte Koup will cost no more than 20 000 dollars.

A date started of sales of a coupe in Europe, and also the European characteristics and the prices will be known later.
